An Italian restaurant has left people in hysterics after sharing a customer’s creative use of the special delivery instructions on their order for a takeaway.
Hartlepool Eats, a food delivery service app, shared a photo of the receipt from Bianco’s Deli on Facebook with the caption: “I love the richness of Hartlepool vocabulary.”
The order for a 12 inch Americana hot with garlic sauce and a portion of pizza top chips has racked up more than 300 shares and 200 comments after people spotted what had been written under the delivery notes section.
The customer had simply warned the driver: “Just a heads up pal, me dogs a f***ing rarf n barks at nowt.”
Members of the group replied to say: “This is why I love Hartlepool” and many vowed to start adding the same note to their orders to warn unsuspecting delivery drivers about their own loud pets.
Another driver posted a picture in the comments of the special instructions they had found on a receipt, which read: “Extra lettuce, mayo and sauce in the wrap please. Make it chunky as out.”
It’s not the first time delivery instructions have left people laughing, after a mum discovered the cause of an Amazon delivery driver being caught sprinting away from her door after dropping off a parcel.
Lynn Staffieri was left baffled after reviewing footage of the driver shouting and running away on her doorbell camera, only to discover her young son had been behind the stunt.
After she had placed the order, her child had sneaked on a delivery note to say: “Knock on the door 3 times and scream abra cadabra as loud as you can and run super fast away.”
Incredibly, the Amazon employee had fully committed to the instructions and followed it to the letter, leaving people to call for her to be promoted when the footage was shared online.
